Elzbieta Woitas est née et a grandi
dans l'ancienne ville hanséatique d'expression allemande de
Dantzig (Gdansk) et à Cracovie.
Depuis 1982 elle vit et travaille principalement en Allemagne, à
Bonn, Cologne et aujourd'hui Düsseldorf.

Formation
1970 -1976 études classique de peinture, sculpture et architecture
d'intérieur à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Cracovie,
auprès des professeurs Zabkowski, Marek et Budzillo.
Un Magister Artium couronne ses études.
Séjours à l'étranger et voyages d'études
Un séjour à New-York lui a permis des contacts intensifs
avec l'avant-garde américaine, ce qui a marqué un certain
temps sa création artistique.
En 1991 et 1992, une bourse lui permet d'étudier l'art chrétien
au Gregoriana, à Rome.
Son intérêt pour le bouddhisme zen devient dans les années
90 le troisième élément marquant de son parcours
et lui apporte de nouvelles occasions d'exprimer sa créativité.
Grâce à ses multiples relations à travers le monde,
ses œuvres sont présentes dans de nombreux pays européens
ainsi qu'au Brésil, au Japon, aux Etats-Unis et à Taiwan.

Les travaux informels et expressifs d'Elzbieta Woitas reflètent
une large palette de perceptions émotionnelles situées
entre l'explosion de sentiments débordants de vie et une approche
douce et prudente du monde intérieur.
Ses moyens de composition sont la couleur, qui exprime la sonorité
de ses tableaux en touchant directement l'âme du spectateur,
ainsi que la ligne conductrice qui guide le regard, le structure et
l'anime, éveillant l'intellect par son cheminement à
travers les formes.
Tous les tableaux de l'artiste reflètent une profession de
foi en faveur du monde en tant que création pleine de vie,
de tension, de profondeur et de lumière. Ils sont par moments
illuminés sous forme poétique mais représentent
le plus souvent un hymne à la vie dans toute sa richesse.

Elbzieta Woitas spent her childhood in the
old German-speaking Hanseatic city of Danzig (Gdansk) where she was
born, and later in Cracow.
Since 1982 she has been living and working mainly in Germany, in Bonn,
Cologne and now Düsseldorf.
Education
1970 -1976 classical training in painting, sculpture and interior
decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with professors Zabkowski,
Marek and Budzillo.
She graduated with a Magister Artium.
She finished her studies with a Magister Artium.
Foreign travel and studies
Her stay in New York helped her to establish intensive contacts with
the American avant-garde, which for a time influenced her art.
In 1991 and 1992, she studied Christian art at the Gregoriana in Rome
on a scholarship.
In the nineties, Elzbieta Woitas's interest in Zen Buddhism provided
the third formative element leading to new creative opportunities.
Thanks to her numerous contacts around the world, her works are found
in many European countries as well as in Brazil, Japan, the United
States and Taiwan.
Public opinion regarding her abstract art
Elzbieta Woitas's informal and expressive works reflect a large
spectrum of emotional perceptions ranging from lively outbursts of
temper to a prudent and delicate approach to the inner world.
Her composition mediums are color, expressing the vibrancy of her
paintings and instantly touching the observer's soul, as well as the
eye's guideline, structuring its analysis, stimulating the mind with
insightful experiences in the realm of form.
All her paintings reflect her belief in the world as a creation full
of life and tension, depth and light. They are at times blissfully
poetic but usually represent effervescent hymns to life at its fullest.
