Depuis plusieurs années, Anne-Lise Saillen
poursuit une recherche picturale - le carré, le cercle, l'horizontale,
la verticale, la transparence, à travers la multitude des couches,
la vibration de la couleur, la lumière - et une recherche conceptuelle
- l'idée qui donne du sens. La pensée oriente le travail
pictural et celui-ci, à son tour, inspire la pensée,
permet à l'idée de se développer.
La nature, son observation et sa contemplation, est la source première
à laquelle l'artiste se relie. Au cours de ces dernières
années, l'idée d'une cohérence qui sous-tendrait
le cosmos, y compris sous ses aspects les plus chaotiques, idée
qui se trouve ponctuellement confirmée notamment avec la physique
quantique, est venue éclairer d'un jour nouveau sa fascination
envers la nature. Cela l'a amenée en particulier à travailler
avec la suite de Fibonacci et le nombre d'or.

Born in Lausanne (Switzerland)
Over the past years, Anne-Lise Saillen has pursued a pictorial research
- through the use of the square, the circle, the horizontal, the vertical,
transparency across a multiplicity of layers, the vibration of colours
and light - and a conceptual research - whereby the idea gives the
meaning. Reflection and thought guide the pictorial work, which then
itself inspires deliberation and enables the idea to progress.
Nature, its observation and contemplation is the artist's primary
source of inspiration. Over the past few years, the idea has emerged
of a coherence that sustains the cosmos, including its more chaotic
aspects. This idea, recently confirmed by quantum physics, has reinforced
the artist's fascination with nature. In particular, this interest
has led her to work with the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio.
