Francis Hungler est né en Alsace le 5 avril 1959.
Diplômé en arts plastiques des Arts-Déco de Strasbourg, il a exposé à Venise, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Paris et Rome. En France, son travail est exposé dans les artothèques et les principales galeries d'art.

Il est à l'aise avec les matières, à l'aise avec les couleurs. Il grave, il presse,il sculpte,il peint, il modèle un univers onirique avec l'assurance d'un créateur décomplexé, qui dialogue avec son imaginaire et rend visible ce lien privilégié. Et cela ne ressemble à rien d'autre.

Signe particulier : un humour corrosif, qu'il exerce sur tout un chacun, à commencer par lui même. Généreux, il n'hésite pas à révéler ses secrets de fabrication. Il nourrit une passion illimitée pour ses outils, dont il aime à énumérer les fonctions qui règlent son art. Il voue également une affection particulière au papier, qu'il prépare de longues heures pour le rendre "amoureux".

Francis Hungler was born in Alsace on April 5 1959.
He graduated in the plastic arts from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. Francis Hungler has had exhibitions in Venice, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Paris and Rome. In France, his work can be seen at the country's "Artothèques" and at major galleries.

Francis Hungler's approach to his art includes biting humour, applied to everything and everyone, starting with himself. Generous to a fault, he is always willing to share his artistic methods. He is exceptionally passionate about art and the tools of his trade. A dedicated and tireless enthusiast for breathing life into inanimate materials, he is particularly fond of paper, which he meticulously prepares to make it more "loving".
