Jean-François Berger est né à Genève en 1952. Il a commencé à peindre à l'âge de huit ans (Cours Martenot). Après une longue interruption, il s'est remis à la peinture il y a une dizaine d'années et a suivi des cours à l'Ecole des Arts décoratifs de Genève en expression et en composition (Charles Vogt) ainsi qu'en dessin de figure (Pascal Saini). Depuis plus de vingt ans, Jean-François Berger est délégué du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) et a travaillé dans de nombreux pays.

Jean-François Berger was born in 1952 in Geneva. He started oil painting when he was eight years old (Cours Martenot). After a long interruption, he took up painting again ten years ago and he has then followed the courses in expression and composition(Charles Vogt) and in figure drawing(Pascal Saini) at the School Decorative Arts in Geneva. Since more than twenty years Jean-François Berger has been working in various countries as delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
